Another day of blue skies and beautiful sunshine. Rain is forecast over the next few days so I am making the most of it!
I headed up to Mossman Gorge this morning. A twenty minute drive into the Daintree Rainforest.
There are different options to get into the gorge. I drove to the visitors centre, parked up and took the shuttle bus between the centre and the Gorge.
There were a number of different walking tracks, all taking in the flora and fauna of the rainforest. It was really cool, some massive trees, a walk along the Mossman river and over it on a suspension bridge.
There were also a couple of lookouts that had great views.
There was also a walk to Wurrmbu Creek which was awesome, the water was crystal clear and very beautiful!
I meandered around taking in all the luscious scenery and enjoying the coolness of the shade in the rainforest.
Then back to Port Douglas where I parked up the van and went to explore the shops some more. The Main Street is really nice. Lots of cool boutiques, loads of restaurants and bars. I nearly got all ‘hippied up’ but saved my cash for another time!
As the sun was nice and bright I moseyed to the beach and actually sat on it for a good while. I probably shouldn’t have left it to the penultimate day on the east coast to try and get a tan! Oh well, kinda typical really!!

I’m dropping off the van tomorrow and then one last night in Cairns before heading to Ulura.
